Alien Swarm

This is a free game released by Valve called Alien Swarm. I highly suggest all members DL and give it a try, it is a lot of fun and really captures the essence of team play.

It's all slow and choppy.

It pisses me off when I play. The only thing that runs smoothly is the Main Menu.

Same way with my dad too. It's too choppy for him to play on his laptop.

right click on My Computer and click properties or manage. Look through there and it shows your processor. Go to Control Panel and look for Device Manager and click on display adapters and it will tell you your video card.

Well, if you have a quad core 3.0, thats a pretty frigging awesome processor. The ram has much to be desired along with the video card. Is it a desktop or laptop?

btw, you wanna play games with a inboard video card thing? hint for when you buy a PC next time: If it doesnt say ATI or nVidia somewhere in the name, dont buy it.

^ nVidia is better than ATI but they're both good. My Compaq has ATI and its decent.

My dad just came home with a new PC and I was like "LOL QUE?"

Well, do spread the news to your parents that ATI and nVidia are better for your money with nVidia being the best.

As of now, they are almost the same, only differences come when you go top tier benchmark, where nVidia will push for the physics, but ATI will push for the graphics. Best set ive seen is a friend of mine who crossfired an ATI 5850 and a GT 300 sth, reassigned the processors for physics and graphics. was beautiful.

Oops, missed this.

It's a desktop.

And its not a quadcore. Pentium 4 is regular procesor that simulates 2 cores but has 1 true cpu. And its same as mine.

Maybe cuz he looked at the "4" after its name. I am not surprised ,i thought its 2 true cores when i looked into "Everest" for 1st time.
